Hey there,
I started as a guy who designed graphics for skateboard decks and tee shirts and now my I spend my time visualizing brands’ digital campaigns, websites, identities, strategies, and general online presence.
I have worked freelance and collaborated with countless brands, and a few in-house, one of which I helped build the foundation and another you may have heard of. I’m now working as an Art Director at Aya Healthcare, the leading staffing agency in the healthcare industry.

THINGS I DO
Design: Product, Interface, Identity, Creative and Art Direction, Content Creation, Visual Systems
Vision: Storytelling, Briefing, Editorial, Research, Storyboarding, Concepting (why is that not a real word).
Why: I do what I do because ever since I learned what graphic design was (Photoshop 101 in my junior year of high school) I was intent on making a career out of putting words and meaning to photos and videos.
I love to work with brands who not only claim to be authentic, but are smart enough to actually operate authentically. I’m compassionate, honest, and always think a step ahead. And I know the difference between an apostrophe and the abbreviation for a foot: a ' is not an ’.
OTHER STUFF
→ My family is from Alaska but I grew up in Southern California, and haven’t found a reason to leave, yet.
→ I spent the majority of my free time in my childhood and teens skateboarding, drawing tech packs for sneakers, and playing hockey.
→ I created a print magazine about the culture and essence of hockey. Yes, being a digital design professional based in California who makes a print magazine about a somewhat niche sport is odd, but I like to hold books, booklets, magazines, posters and other things made from paper. And it turns out there are cultists who agree, and buy it.
→ Possibly related to my thing with printed stuff, I own a Risograph RN2030ui digital duplicator with five color drums (Japanese digital screen printer with no squeegee). Huge pain, but everything that goes through it it looks killer.
→ I grew up with dogs, but due to a technicality I now have two twin cats. They’re cool though.
→ I have about 500 vinyl records. Fleetwood Mac is objectively the best band of all time.
